It is official, we have moved towns and are meeting at the 'Dryandra Equestrian park' in Cuballing. For those of you who don't know the story, unfortunately the Narrogin town council decided to take an important part of the grounds away from us to build houses on. This restricted the safe access we had to the neighbouring farm for the cross country course which ment that we could no longer hold any 1,2 or 3 star eventing competitions. It is even more sadder because our course was one of only 4 olympic games qualifying courses in the whole of Australia. The local council then offered us a 15 year lease on the remaining grounds but it would be like going from being a luxury motel to being a small town caravan park. Not the same attraction to riders from around the state. So Cuballing shire has come to our rescue and we have the chance to start with a blank canvas and make another very popular equestrian venue.
The really exciting part of us moving is that PCAWA want us to host the 2013 NATIONAL PONY CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS. This is going to be a lot of fun as well a lot of hard work, but by the same enthusiasm that we had for the Narrogin course, we can do it. The National champs would have been great for Narrogin but you dont stay where a council doesn't want you. We would like to thank Cuballing for the opportunity to create a fantastic equestrian venue and we hope everyone will be happy with our new home next year. ( Did someone say we need a new name,well.........)
